Minisites developed out of a passion for helping small businesses and being one myself. When I first became an entrepreneur, I was frustrated at the lack of options out there for my own web presence. There are tons of “drag and drop” and DIY web builders out there. Not only were they not as easy to use as they promised but trying to make my site uniquely my own was hard. Capturing my vision for what I wanted my site to be for my customers wasn’t going to happen if I could only choose from a couple templates. Not only this, but the low price offered by my DIY platform quickly exploded as I was forced to purchase more third party services to add functionality to my site for even the simplest things.
I made Minisites to be exactly what I would have wanted back then. A simple way to work with a web designer in order to meet the needs of guides, gurus, creators, mom and pop shops and other small businesses who don’t need huge, complex websites and who don’t want to struggle building one on their own. This gives you a way to get started right away. You can always switch to a custom domain at any point in the future. An example of a website address with the forgemini domain would be “www.yourname.forgemini.com”

Using your own domain is what I recommend as there are many benefits such as owning your own digital space, better search engine optimization, increased customer trust and it makes it easier for your customers to find you.
